Czech Republic is a country in Europe and known for the Charles Bridge at sunset in Prague.
Planning
- I have been to Prague several times and have always flown on budget from Germany.
Accommodation
- Prague has more than 150 hostels and one with a good rating costs 10 € the night. I chose the Art Hole Hostel thanks to its good rating and connection to public transport. As you can see from the name, it is colorful here. The walls in all rooms are beautifully decorated and I really liked the common room.
Food & Drinks
- The most famous drink is beer. On average, 142 liters of beer are consumed per person per year. According to a survey of the Japanese brewery Kirin, the Czech Republic ranks first. For less than one euro (25 CZK), there were three different varieties offered in the hostel: Light, Mixed and Dark. The turns are in ascending order and I liked the mixed one best.
- As vegetarian food I can recommend smažený sýr (fried cheese). In the Lokal in Prague I had a 6 weeks matured fried cheese with tartar sauce, potatoes and onions. The restaurant is recommended by Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor. In my view it's overrated and I would have expected better quality.
